These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of www.koreythekanine.com and to dog-training services provided by Korey the Kanine (“Korey the Kanine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using our Website, booking services, purchasing a package, or participating in training, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Website or purchase our services.
1. Our Services
Korey the Kanine provides dog-training and behavior-support services using positive reinforcement, relationship-based, fear-free, and evidence-informed training methods.
Services may be provided:
In person
In your home
In appropriate public locations
Online or virtually
Services and availability may change from time to time.
Korey the Kanine does not provide board-and-train services.
2. Training Is a Partnership
Dog training works best as a partnership between the trainer, dog, and owner.
Training recommendations are individualized based on the information available to us and the circumstances presented during training.
You are responsible for implementing training recommendations between sessions and for making reasonable decisions regarding your dog's safety and wellbeing.
3. No Guarantees
Every dog is an individual.
Korey the Kanine does not guarantee a specific behavior, result, timeline, level of obedience, or outcome from training.
Behavior can be affected by many factors, including genetics, health, environment, reinforcement history, stress, learning history, and consistency.
Our goal is to provide practical guidance, education, and support while helping you build a stronger relationship with your dog.
4. Owner Responsibility
You remain responsible for your dog at all times.
You agree to:
Provide accurate information about your dog's behavior and history
Inform us about known bite history, aggression, fear, reactivity, resource guarding, or other safety concerns
Follow reasonable safety recommendations
Maintain appropriate supervision
Use appropriate equipment
Follow applicable leash and animal-control laws
Seek veterinary care when appropriate
Tell us about relevant changes in your dog's health or behavior
You agree not to intentionally withhold information that could reasonably affect the safety of you, your dog, the trainer, or another person or animal.
5. Veterinary Care
Dog training is not a substitute for veterinary care.
Behavior changes can sometimes be related to pain, illness, medication, neurological conditions, or other medical factors.
We may recommend that you consult your veterinarian or another qualified professional when medical or behavioral concerns fall outside the scope of dog training.
Korey the Kanine does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for medical conditions.
6. Safety and Behavior
You must disclose known safety concerns before or during training, including known bite history or significant aggression toward people or animals.
Korey the Kanine reserves the right to modify, pause, reschedule, or discontinue a training session when we reasonably believe that continuing would create an unsafe situation.
In some cases, we may recommend referral to a veterinarian, veterinary behaviorist, or another qualified professional.
7. In-Home Training
For in-home sessions, you are responsible for providing a reasonably safe training environment.
Please secure hazards, other animals, children, food, medications, and other items that could create an unnecessary safety risk.
We may ask that additional people or animals be separated during portions of a session when necessary for safety or learning.
8. Public Training
Public training sessions are conducted only in locations and circumstances considered reasonably appropriate for the dog's current training level.
Environmental conditions, other animals, people, traffic, weather, noise, and other factors may affect the session.
We may change the location, activity, or format of a session when reasonably necessary for safety or training effectiveness.
9. Online Training
Online training can be an effective way to provide education, coaching, demonstrations, and troubleshooting.
However, virtual training has limitations because the trainer may not be physically present in your environment.
You are responsible for following safety recommendations and determining whether an exercise is appropriate for your dog and environment.
10. Scheduling
Appointments are subject to availability.
You are responsible for scheduling your sessions and keeping track of applicable package expiration dates.
If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
Specific cancellation, rescheduling, package, and expiration policies provided at the time of purchase or booking are incorporated into these Terms.
11. Packages and Expiration
Training packages may have an expiration period stated at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
Packages must be used within the stated expiration period.
Unused sessions do not automatically extend beyond the expiration date.
Packages are not transferable unless we approve a transfer in writing.
Packages may not be exchanged for cash.
Any package-specific terms presented at checkout or purchase will control if they conflict with these general Terms.
12. Payments
Payment is due according to the terms presented at the time of booking or purchase.
You agree to provide accurate billing and payment information.
We may use third-party payment processors to process transactions. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.
Korey the Kanine does not store complete payment-card information when payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor.
13. Refunds
Refund eligibility is determined by the refund policy presented at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, completed training sessions are not refundable.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund or credit due to an unusual circumstance, please contact us and we will review the situation individually.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any refund or consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
14. Cancellation or Discontinuation of Services
Korey the Kanine may discontinue or pause services when reasonably necessary, including due to:
Safety concerns
Unforeseen circumstances
Trainer availability
Changes in service area
Health or emergency circumstances
Severe weather
Other circumstances outside our reasonable control
If we cancel a prepaid session, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide any refund or credit required under the applicable purchase terms.
15. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its content are owned by or licensed to Korey the Kanine.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Training materials
Handouts
Guides
Graphics
Logos
Branding
Videos
Original educational content
You may use materials provided to you for your own personal dog-training purposes.
You may not reproduce, sell, distribute, publish, modify, or commercially exploit Korey the Kanine's proprietary materials without written permission.
16. Educational Content
Information provided on the Website, social media, emails, handouts, videos, and other educational materials is intended for general educational purposes.
Training recommendations should always be considered in the context of your individual dog and circumstances.
Not every exercise or recommendation will be appropriate for every dog.
17. Third-Party Links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, products, services, or resources.
These links are provided for convenience or informational purposes.
Korey the Kanine does not control or guarantee the accuracy, availability, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites.
18. User Content and Reviews
If you submit a review, testimonial, photograph, video, comment, or other content to Korey the Kanine, you represent that you have the right to provide that content.
You grant Korey the Kanine permission to use content that you specifically provide for promotional or educational purposes, subject to any permissions or restrictions communicated at the time of submission.
You remain responsible for content you submit.
19. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Korey the Kanine will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website or participation in training services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
20. Assumption of Risk
Working with animals involves inherent risks.
Dogs may behave unpredictably, and circumstances may arise that cannot reasonably be anticipated.
By participating in dog-training services, you acknowledge that interactions with dogs and training environments may involve risks including, but not limited to:
Scratches
Bites
Falls
Trips
Property damage
Contact with other animals
Unexpected behavior
Environmental hazards
You are responsible for exercising reasonable caution and following safety instructions.
21. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Korey the Kanine from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your negligent or intentional conduct.
This provision does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
22. Website Availability
We do not guarantee that the Website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the Website at any time.
